NEW: Free Group Peer Mentoring for social enterprise leaders in Sheffield

It can be lonely leading a social enterprise. You can often find yourself with no-one to bounce ideas off or to share a hard-fought win with. Our new SSEN Group Peer Mentoring programme will offer participants an invaluable opportunity to learn, develop personal and professional skills, and thrive as leaders in a trusted, confidential space.

Launching this September, the programme will offer mentoring for small groups of social enterprise leaders in the city using an action learning approach to problem solving.

Over a series of six three-hour sessions, which will take place every six weeks, those taking part will get the chance to discuss the challenges that local social enterprises are facing and to explore practical solutions together. Sessions will take place both online and in person at the Union St. co-working space in Sheffield City Centre.

Potential benefits from taking part may include:

  • The chance to share your experiences and knowledge as you develop as a social entrepreneur

  • The opportunity to experiment and take considered risks which may differ from your usual approach, and learn from what happens as a result.

  • Increased confidence and self-belief in finding your own way of dealing with challenges.

  • Development of core questioning and listening skills

  • Hearing from other social entrepreneurs about how to get good results in relation to aims

You can find out further information about action learning in the video below.

Sheffield based social entrepreneurs (and anyone working in a social enterprise locally) can access the free programme which is supported by the Connect Fund. Places are limited and priority will be given to those that apply first. To sign up, please complete the online form here. If you have any questions drop us an email or call Pete on 07548 831962.
