We’re growing our Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is made up of individuals passionate about the social enterprise sector who are keen to see it grow and thrive. Together they bring a wealth of experience, expertise and skills to the work we do in supporting social enterprises and advocating for the sector both locally and nationally.

As we enter an exciting new phase of development we’re planning on expanding our volunteer Board of Directors and are looking for people who are driven, with a commitment to collaboration, and who are keen to engage with SSEN as we grow our work.

We want to hear from anyone who thinks that they have something to offer the social enterprise network in our city and wider region, and who can demonstrate a commitment to continuously developing themselves and SSEN for the interest of the social enterprise sector. We are particularly keen to hear from individuals from underrepresented groups who reflect the demographics of our city’s communities. We would also particularly welcome interest from individuals with expertise in PR and media relations.

Directors will be expected to attend a monthly meeting of up to 90 minutes in duration, with up to 30 minutes preparation for each meeting, as well as our annual general meeting. There may also be the potential to take on some additional responsibilities by engaging in ad hoc working groups around specific projects.
