Enhancing Social Impact Measurement Across South Yorkshire
The Sheffield Social Enterprise Network (SSEN) is leading a new 12-month project to strengthen how social enterprises across South Yorkshire measure, understand, and communicate their social impact.
With funding from the Communities Innovating Yorkshire (CIY) Fund, the project will work with at least 50 local social enterprises to build confidence, consistency, and collaboration in social impact reporting. Through training, digital tools, and peer learning, organisations will be supported to collect, analyse, and share their impact in ways that are credible, accessible, and locally relevant.
Delivered in partnership with the University of Sheffield, Data for Action, Impact Reporting, Sheffield City Council, and local social enterprises, the project will align impact measurement with the open-source MeasureUp framework and the Sheffield City Goals. Together, we aim to make South Yorkshire a national leader in place-based social impact measurement.
